Data:
(Placidus house system)
- National Invitational Tournament College Basketball 1999
- Final Round: California vs Clemson in New York...California wins
- Bay Hill Invitational Golf Tournament
- Tim Herron wins ...Tiger Woods, favorite, plays poorly...
All charts are set up for game's end - time exact
The college basketball game was played at Madison Square Garden in NY and ended at 9:39 p.m. EST (Right Chart)
(Above Left) In the local chart for California, at the time of the team's win, Sun and Jupiter were straddling the descendant. Jupiter and Venus were aspecting the MC. Moon, 10th ruler, was elevated in the 10th.
(Above Right) The chart for Clemson at game's end had Mars on the ascendant and Saturn aspecting the MC (24th harmonic aspect). Clemson had been leading for most of the final quarter but lost during the last few minutes of the game while Uranus hovered around the IC indicating a sudden turnaround.
The actual game chart on the right, set up for Madison Square Garden, also shows the dramatic finale with Uranus aspecting the end-of-the-game ascendant.
I don't often base my wagers on the planets' placement at game's end since the exact time is impossible to predict but have found that important tournaments sometimes have strong angular aspects. With Jupiter and the Sun near the angles of California's chart, and Saturn, Mars, and Uranus angular in Clemson's I was able to correctly predict the outcome.
Chart on the right is Tim Herron, born Feb 16, 1970 in Minneapolis
Minnesota. No time is available so chart is calculated for 1 p.m. and set up
with archetypal houses--Aries on the asc, etc. .
The outer planets are transits for March 25 1999, 6:00 PM, Orlando Florida, the approximate end of the tournament
Tim Herron won the Bay Hill Invitational--and $450,000.
At first glance his transits aren't particularly strong. Transiting Sun trines natal Neptune and transiting Neptune squares natal Saturn, which aren't usually winning indicators. However, transiting Venus/Saturn midpoint, in Taurus, and the natural rulers of the 10th house of recognition and 2nd house of money trined natal Venus. And most importantly, Herron's Venus and Saturn are in a close sextile natally.
Other aspects were transiting Jupiter in a separating opposition to natal Uranus, and transiting Mars applying to a
natal North Node trine (I've frequently found trines to and from the North Node for wins)
Chart on the right is favorite Tiger Woods (Eldrick Tont Woods), former Masters winner,
born December 30 1975 in Long Beach California at 10:50 PST (time from
birth certificate)
The outer planets are transits for March 25 1999, 6:00 PM, Orlando Florida, the approximate end of the tournament
Woods played poorly in the Bay Hill Tournament, coming in around 58th and earning under $6000
Although the Sun is applying to a Saturn trine on the last day of the tournament, the approaching Saturn semi-square to natal Mars was obviously stronger--especially with those planets semi-square natally. (At the time of the Masters win, transiting Saturn was sextiling his elevated Mars).
Woods also had transiting Jupiter square
his natal Sun--and both planets are widely squared natally.
